Milek undertake projects from small switchboard build and installations up to complete equipment supply to Mines, ports and industrial customers. Our point of difference is our capability to take a project from concept right through to commissioning. Examples of projects undertaken include overland conveyors, substations, section isolators, conveyor starters, lighting distribution systems, stonedust delivery systems and drive testing systems just to name a few.

ANGLO AMERICAN AQUILA MINE
The Milek Team was contracted to provide electrical installation for Fenner Conveyors of a 2.5km overland conveyor system powered by 4x500KW ABB VSD’s. Milek’s scope included:
- Provision of all electrical labour for the project
- Manufacture all IO and local control enclosures
- Installation of all tray, cabling, and terminations.
- Commissioning support labour.

BMA Broadmeadow Mine
Milek were engaged to relocate and upgrade the tailgate stone dust delivery system to facilitate dusting of MG17 Longwall. The system consisted of a 150T silo, Pneumatics control valves, VSD’s regulatory control and PLC/HMI. Milek scope for the project included:
- Disconnection and Removal of the existing equipment
- Re-installation with new or upgrade equipment
- All tray cabling and connections
- PLC program development and testing
- HMI development and testing
- Full system functional commissioning

PIMS GROUP MAVIS DOWN MINE
We have been designing building and factory testing equipment to facilitate commencement of production in early 2023. Our scope for this project has been:
- Initial specification and selection of plant control systems and equipment
- Control system network design
- Design & construction of 11Kv section Isolator
- Design and construct 6x 1000V Conveyor starters
- Manufacture of multiple control boards
- Installation and commissioning of equipment early 2023
